PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
Middleton on the Wolds Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer, working on a part-time basis for a minimum of 30 hours per month (including attendance at monthly Council Meetings).The hours of work are flexible except for attendance at Council Meetings which are held on the first Monday of each month (except for Bank Holidays) from 7.00pm in the Reading Rooms, Middleton on the Wolds. Training will be arranged as necessary. The monthly remuneration is based on NJC Salary Scales, and will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and pro-rata to hours worked. Duties include general administration, accounts, liaising with the Chairman to set the agenda, minute taking and follow-up action and providing relevant advice to Parish Councillors and local residents. Maintenance of village cemetery recordsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and computerised accounts is essential. Familiarity with the local area is desirable.

Vacancy for a Councillor
There is a vacancy on the council caused by a resignation of a councillor.
A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if by 24th July 2018 10 electors for the parish give notice in writing to the Chief Executive of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council at County Hall Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire HU17 9BA claiming such an election.
If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fil the vacancy by co-option
